Tecmo Koei Announces Next Fatal Frame Game is Exclusive to the Wii U

Nintendo and Tecmo Koei have announced today (April 22nd) that a brand new Fatal Frame game will be heading to the Wii U. The last time a Fatal Frame game was on a Nintendo platform was on the Wii when Tecmo Koei released "Fatal Frame: Project Zero." This was simply a remake of "Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly," which was originally released on the PS2. Unfortunately, North America never got this game. It was only released on the Wii in Japan, Europe and Australia.

Tecmo Koei has yet to announce any new details for the next installment of the Fatal Frame series. For example, we do not even know the name of the game or the release date. However, according to Tecmo Koei, this Fatal Frame game is going to be exclusive to the Wii U. This is big news for the Wii U. The more exclusive games the better.

  1. Not interested in horror games, but this is good, especially since I've seen some demand for a new Fatal Frame. Now all they need to do is localize it.

  2. The Fatal Frame games have always made me kind of jumpy ... specially Fatal Frame II. I would love to see this one come out in North America, I would buy it in a heart beat. I am happy to see some other companies give the Wii U some love regardless.
