Project Cross Zone Announced by Namco, Capcom, and Sega

Ever since the teaser website went up, there has been a lot of talk about what game Namco, Capcom and Sega could possibly be working on. The website itself did not give much information, and just left people on the edge of their seats.

Well, now the wait is over. Just recently the three companies came forward to announce the game they have been working on. It is called Project Cross Zone, and it's for the Nintendo 3DS. It is a strategy RPG that will feature characters from Namco, Capcom, and Sega games.

Now, I know what some of you are saying: “This seems oddly firmiliar...” and you would be right. That is because the game is very similar to the PS2 game Namco X Capcom. However, this time the companies have all brought in their top rated characters...well and Sega has been thrown into the mix as well.
The full roster of characters has yet to be announced. However, the companies have all revealed a few characters that they are putting in the game:

From Capcom:
Ryu and Ken (Street Fighter)
X and Zero (Mega Man X)
Dante (Devil May Cry)
Chris Redfiled and Jill Valentine (Resident Evil)

From Sega:
Sakura Shinguji and Ichigo Ogami (Sakura Wars)
Kurt and Riela (Valkyria Chronicles)
Akira Yuki and Pai Chan (Virtua Fighter)
Ulala (Space Channel 5)
Cyrille and Toma (Shining Force EXA)

From Namco Bandai:
Sanger (Super Robot Taisen OG)
Kos-Mos and T-elos (Xenosaga)
Jin and Xiaoyu (Tekken)
Yuri and Estelle (Tales of Vesperia)
Kite and BlackRose (.hack)

More information about this game is likely to come out soon. I for one am extremely excited about this game. I am a huge fan of crossover games and RPGs. Mix them together and you have yourself one epic experience! Stay tuned for more information regarding a possible release date and roster update.

  1. Wow this game seems like it's going to be great! All the characters seem pretty decent, and the shots that I came across made it seem like it's going to be really fun.

  2. Yeah! This looks like it will be a great game. The combat system looks on par with the battle system from Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier (Which was my favorite game on the DS). This is shaping up to be one mighty fine game.

    1. Great thanks for letting us know! The site I got it from had a bunch of wallpapers and didn't give any names of who made them. Since I didn't have your approval to use your wallpaper I have removed it from the site.

      Cheers!
